Amy Hernandez exclusively represents people who have been injured by others. This includes the areas of medical malpractice, legal malpractice, wrongful death, and catastrophic injuries. Amy has first chaired several trials, including lengthy medical malpractice trials.
Amy received her law degree in 2003 from Drake University (with Honors). She served as a law clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals for a year following law school.
In 2024, Amy was appointed by the Arizona Supreme Court to serve a 3 year term as a District Representative on the Arizona State Bar Board of Governors. In 2025, Amy was voted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Amy has served as a board member for the Arizona Association for Justice. She is also the past Chair of the Trial Practice Section and a former member of the Civil Practice and Procedure Committee for the State Bar of Arizona. Additionally, she is a former member of the Morris K. Udall Inn of Court.
Amy served as the 2007-2008 President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Pima County Bar Association and as a Board Member for the State Bar of Arizona Young Lawyers Division from 2006 - 2008.
Amy is a United States Army veteran who served as a military intelligence analyst from 1996-2000. She was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas, where she analyzed and distributed intelligence information.
Amy is admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for Arizona and all Arizona state courts. She is a member of the Arizona Association of Justice, the State Bar of Arizona, and the Pima County Bar Association.
In 2013, Amy was named one of Tucson’s Top 40 community leaders under 40 years old. She was also named a Southwest Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2012 through 2016 and a Southwest Super Lawyer in 2020 - 2024.
